Community Partners for Children of Longview is a non-profit organization dedicated to ensuring safety and restoring dignity and hope to abused and neglected children by providing resources and support to the caseworkers of Gregg County Child Protective Services.
Laura Bush, when she was First Lady of Texas in the mid 1990's, promoted Community Partners for Children. The function of this organization is to aid Child Protective Services (CPS) on a local level with programs such as Adopt-A-Caseworker and the Rainbow Room. This is a state-wide organization, under the umbrella of Greater Texas Community Partners.
In Gregg County, our primary program is the Rainbow Room. The Rainbow Room is an emergency resource center, supplied through community donations to provide essentials such as diapers, food, clothing, school supplies and toys, when intervention and/or removal of a child from their home becomes necessary.
